A 38-year-old male presents to A&E with hypotension, pallor and clammy extremities. He is very confused. As part of the investigation work-up, a 12-lead ECG is taken, revealing a sinus bradycardia of 35bpm. Intravenous atropine is administered, but this is found to have an unsatisfactory response. Expert help is sought, with the view to arrange transvenous pacing. In the interim period, the patient is administered with more medication.
