A 45-year-old male presents to his GP after returning from a business trip to Asia

A 45-year-old male presents to his GP after returning from a business trip to Asia with new symptoms of right upper quadrant pain, fever, malaise and arthralgia. He goes on to disclose that whilst in Asia he drank large quantities of alcohol and engaged in unprotected sex with other males. On general examination, you note that his sclera appears yellow and on abdominal examination, you find tender hepatomegaly.
