A 23-year-old male presents to A&E after experiencing an episode of difficulty in breathing, chest pain and light-headedness. He mentions that he also felt sick with his heart racing and as though there was a sense of impending doom. He felt anxious before it happened, and it lasted for about ten minutes before passing, and afterwards, he felt relieved. He has no lasting symptoms and feels well in himself at present.
His troponin is not raised after three hours, and his ECG shows normal sinus rhythm with no acute changes.
