An 8-year-old boy comes in with difficulty breathing for the past few hours. He finds it difficult to drink water as well. On examination he is sitting upright and tachypneic, with use of accessory muscles. His temperature is 38.6 degrees Celsius, heart rate is 120 beats per minute, blood pressure 126/98 mmHg, SpO₂ 93% on room air.
