A 70-year-old receptionist presents with a burning sensation on the anterolateral aspect of her left thigh

A 70-year-old receptionist presents with a burning sensation on the anterolateral aspect of her left thigh. Tone is increased on the left with brisker reflexes compared to the right-hand side. Pinprick sensation was reduced over the anterolateral aspect over the left thigh. Past medical history is significant for a mild right-sided stroke 5 months ago and diabetes. She has also recently completed a course of antibiotics for a urinary infection.
