A 35-year-old man presents with a painless white plaque on the inside of his cheek

A 35-year-old man presents with a painless white plaque on the inside of his cheek (see image below). He first noticed it 3 weeks ago. On examination, the plaque cannot be dislodged. He has no past medical history and no drug history. He has a 10-year history of smoking 15 cigarettes per day. He is otherwise feeling well.
