A 22-year-old female presents to the GP experiencing constant worry.

A 22-year-old female presents to the GP experiencing constant worry. This is not about anything in particular but she generally feels on edge and as if something bad may happen. This has been ongoing for the last year and has been getting worse to the point it is affecting her daily life. She has tried self-help techniques and therapies recommended by her previous GP, but feels these have not particularly helped her.

She is asking if there is a medication available which might be able to help her symptoms.

Prescribe the most suitable medication to help her anxiety.
