An 80-year-old female has been going to the toilet a lot more often than normal. She has no stinging, burning or fevers. When she needs the toilet, she feels she must go immediately or she will have an accident, and she has been incontinent 5 times over the last month. She now wears a pad to prevent embarrassment, and this is stopping her from going out. She has had 4 children in the past, who were all delivered vaginally. She has already tried cutting out caffeine and bladder retraining. She has a past medical history of diabetes, glaucoma and asthma and has had a previous gastrointestinal obstruction.
Please prescribe an appropriate treatment for her incontinence.
