An 11-month-old male has presented with bloody stools

An 11-month-old male has presented with bloody stools. His mother had not recalled any clear precipitant for the bloody stools and denied changing his diet. No other family members have been affected by any GI disturbance recently. He does not have any accompanying urinary symptoms. The patient had multiple previous episodes of bacterial pneumonia and sinusitis. Blood tests show thrombocytopenia and reduced mean platelet volume. A widespread eczematous rash is apparent, along with multiple petechiae. Immunoglobulin levels were checked, and his IgM and IgG levels were low.
