A 68-year-old gentleman presents to the rapid access chest pain clinic.
A 68-year-old gentleman presents to the rapid access chest pain clinic. He describes a 2-week history of right sided chest pain that is crushing in character and radiates to his jaw. This pain is usually triggered by cold weather and going outdoors. There is no relation to exercise. His GP has provided him with a GTN spray whilst waiting for a cardiology appointment. He states the spray has provided some relief when used during the chest pain episodes but caused him to have headaches, so he has stopped using it. How would you describe the pain described by the patient?
