A 2-year-old girl presents with a 2-day history of intermittent abdominal pain, during which she cries and appears very distressed. Her mother mentions that she has been less active than usual and has vomited several times. Initially, the vomit was her normal food, but it has become greenish in the last few episodes. The mother also reports one episode of passing a stool mixed with blood and mucus. On examination, the child appears lethargic and has a slightly distended abdomen with tenderness in the right lower quadrant.
