A 90-year-old female is admitted with worsening memory and difficulties carrying out activities of daily living

A 90-year-old female is admitted with worsening memory and difficulties carrying out activities of daily living. Her son states she is struggling to recall events over the last few years and is forgetting to pay bills or prepare meals. This appears to have been getting worse over the last year. Initial investigations, including blood tests, urine screen and chest x-ray, yield no identifiable cause of her symptoms. Physical examination is normal. The 6-CIT examination is significant for cognitive impairment. You suspect a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. What would be the next appropriate step?
