A 30-year-old lady presented with progressive right knee pain for 1 week as well as a fever. Over the last few weeks, multiple joints in the hands have also been painful but usually resolved after a few days. The pain in the knee exacerbates with movement and range of movement is limited. On examination, the knee is erythematous, swollen, and warm to touch. She also has erythematous, non-pruritic, dry skin over both hands. She reports pustules on the palms, legs and has developed a rash over parts of her trunk this morning. She has no past medical history. There is no history of trauma. She drinks occasionally and is sexually active. She has, in the last month, preceding these symptoms, been suffering from painful dysmenorrhea with constant abdominal pain.
