A 65-year-old man goes to his GP about skin patches and plaques that are on his torso and buttocks. He says he has had the patches for over 3 years, and they tend to get better and then worse, and so he thought it was eczema. He also says he has noticed swelling in the groin area. On skin examination you note generalised erythematous patches, with hypopigmentation and one area of ulcerated lesions on the torso. On examination of the groin you note enlarged inguinal lymph nodes, and further examination of other lymph nodes reveals enlarged nodes in the armpit and the neck.
