A 55-year-old lady has early stage breast cancer – a 3 cm right breast invasive ductal carcinoma with 2 ipsilateral positive axillary lymph nodes and nothing to suggest metastatic disease. The tumour cells are hormone receptor-negative and HER2-positive. Her past medical history includes hypertension and type 2 diabetes. The Oncology MDT recommends treatment with neoadjuvant pertuzumab/trastuzumab and chemotherapy, followed by breast-conserving surgery with axillary lymph node dissection, followed by adjuvant systemic therapy. The ward SHO orders baseline bloods and an ECG. Which other investigation must be completed prior to commencing treatment?
