A 23-year-old lady returns to the genetic clinic to discuss the result of her screening. She was referred for genetic screening by her GP due to a strong history of bowel cancer. She is currently well in herself and has no significant past medical history. Her father was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 45 and died 5 years later. Her grandfather also died of bowel cancer in his 60s. Her brother was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer comfirmed to be related to Lynch syndrome.
