Miss Smith is a 17-year-old College student who presents to the general cardiology clinic following referral by her GP. She attended her GP for a routine general health check prior to starting her Physiotherapy degree at university and was found to have some changes on her 12-lead resting ECG (shown below). The GP did some blood tests which showed evidence of a microcytic anaemia but normal coagulation, electrolyte and liver biochemistry. She is referred to the Cardiologist in light of her ECG findings. Miss Smith is an avid exercise enthusiast and often does half-marathons without any symptoms of shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations or syncope. She takes iron tablets for heavy periods but no other regular medications. She is a non-smoker. What is the next most appropriate action to take?
