A 72-year-old lady presents to her GP due to a wart-like spot on her forehead. It has been there for years but she is only now seeking medical attention after her friend was diagnosed with skin cancer. It does not itch or bleed and has not grown. On examination, it is raised, around 8mm in diameter, dark brown in colouration with areas of lighter pigmentation, and has a waxy feel to it.
