A 34 year-old-woman presents to her GP with involuntary muscle movements in her face
A 34 year-old-woman presents to her GP with involuntary muscle movements in her face. She is a new patient and her notes from her previous practice have not yet been transferred over. When you ask about her recent illnesses, she mentions that 3 months ago she had this odd episode where the right side of her face dropped. She was unable to lift her right eyebrow, close her right eyelid fully and lift the right corner of her mouth when she smiled. She was treated in hospital and it was resolved within 1 month. She has been well before the episode as well as since the episode. What was the most likely diagnosis of that initial episode 3 months ago?
