A 25-year-old female is brought in by ambulance having reportedly had a seizure whilst out shopping

A 25-year-old female is brought in by ambulance having reportedly had a seizure whilst out shopping. You recognise her, she has been brought in 3 times in the past 2 weeks for seizures. You remember from the last time that she is on a large amount of anti-epileptic medicine.

Bystanders reported to the ambulance crew that she collapsed to the ground and was violently seizing for 4 minutes, during this time her arms and legs were jerking at different times. She was unresponsive for a few minutes after the seizure, but when you talk to her, she remembers the events immediately following the episode and the paramedics arriving.

You examine her and notice that she has some minor trauma to the inside of her lip. Her neurological exam is normal.
