A 60-year old man presents to hospital with a severe headache

A 60-year old man presents to hospital with a severe headache. The headache first began suddenly yesterday morning, and lasted for several hours before resolving. The headache returned around six hours ago and has not resolved. The pain is mainly localised to his temples, although he is also experiencing pain in his jaw, neck and shoulders. He describes the headache as severe and says that the pain is so bad that at one point he thinks he lost vision in his right eye, although this is now back to normal. He has previously suffered with migraines, but has never had a headache like this.
