A 73-year-old gentleman complains of right ear itch and hearing loss

A 73-year-old gentleman complains of right ear itch and hearing loss. His audiogram reveals mild bilateral presbycusis and right-sided sensorineural hearing loss. Otoscopy of the right ear found an erythematous ear canal with evidence of trauma along the walls and mild otorrhoea. The tympanic membrane was not visible as there was cerumen obstructing the view.
