A 60-year-old man with diabetes is brought in by ambulance having developed pain when walking in town. The pain was mainly in his neck and jaw, and felt like a squeezing sensation that caused him to feel short of breath. It has now resolved. He had a similar episode the previous week, but it eased after 10 minutes of rest. His ECG was normal, and after serial troponins show no rise, he is discharged home.
