An elderly lady is admitted to hospital with dehydration following months of self-neglect

An elderly lady is admitted to hospital with dehydration following months of self-neglect. As a result, she has developed acute kidney injury. She is usually on diuretics and medications for blood pressure. A few days into her admissions, she develops pain that has her writhing around in her bed. An abdominal x-ray is requested, which reveals radio-opaque renal stones.
