A G1P1 lady presents 10 days after giving birth with a fever

A G1P1 lady presents 10 days after giving birth with a fever. Antenatal history was unremarkable except for Group B Streptococcus (GBS) positive finding, and the baby was delivered without complications via normal vaginal delivery. She has been exclusively breastfeeding her baby and describes a feeling of “fullness” of the left breast even after feeds. A tender, erythematous lump on the upper outer quadrant of the left breast was found on physical examination. She was otherwise well.
