A 52-year-old man attends a same-day GP appointment

A 52-year-old man attends a same-day GP appointment. He noticed the night previously that his left eye had become reddened, and his vision blurred. His eye is quite painful, and when he looks into lights, he notices they have this “strange ring” around them. He thinks he may have conjunctivitis, as he suffers from hay fever. On examination, his eye is visibly reddened, and the pupil of that eye dilated.
