A 7-year-old child is presented with a 2-day history of a rapidly progressing rash around the nose. The rash started as a red macule that developed into a vesicle and eventually ruptured, leaving a honey-coloured crust. The parents mention that one of the child’s school friends was recently treated for a similar rash.
