A 45-year-old man presents with a 1-year history of progressive hearing loss in his right ear and recent onset of tinnitus on the same side. He also reports episodes of dizziness and a feeling of fullness in the affected ear. On examination, there is hearing loss in the right ear, and he fails the Rinne test on that side. The Weber test lateralises to the left ear. No other neurological deficits are noted.
