A 45-year-old woman presents with a long history of widespread body pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. She reports that her pain is in her muscles and joints and has been present for over a year. The pain varies in intensity but is constantly present. She also mentions experiencing headaches, memory difficulties, and feeling anxious and depressed. Physical examination reveals multiple tender points across her body, particularly in the neck, shoulders, and lower back.

Normal full blood count

Normal erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)

Normal thyroid function tests

No abnormalities on X-ray
