Proliferative lesions with atypia

These lesions are associated with an increased risk of developing breast cancer. Examples include atypical ductal hyperplasia, atypical lobular hyperplasia and lobular carcinoma in situ. The focus of management for these high-risk lesions is careful surveillance.
