Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT)
Patients will have episodes of bidirectional ventricular tachycardia, clinically presenting as syncope during exercise or emotional stress. Structurally, they have normal hearts and resting ECG is also normal. There is potential for the VT to progress to VF and lead to sudden cardiac death. Approximately 30% of patients will have one episode of cardiac arrest.
