Generalised hypersensitivity to stimuli, sleep disturbance, fatigue, cognitive impairment such as memory loss or poor concentration, and bladder and bowel abnormalities can also occur. There is overlap between fibromyalgia and other functional somatic syndromes, such as chronic fatigue syndrome.
