A 14-year-old female presents to the dermatology clinic with facial lesions (see image below). These lesions first started when she was 10 years old but have been multiplying in recent months. She has trialled multiple over-the-counter creams, but these have not been successful. The patient has a past medical history of seizures for which she is on anti-epileptic medications. She generally finds it difficult to focus during school. On further examination, you note hypopigmented patches on her lower legs. Her nails also appear to have longitudinal grooves. You suspect that all these findings collectively equate to a particular underlying condition.
