A 22-year-old male presents with a 1-day history of worsening left-sided red eye, watering, marked photophobia, foreign body sensation and blurred vision. He wears daily contact lenses and has been wearing them overnight and changing them in the morning as usual. He does not recall a history of trauma to the eye and has no past medical history of note. On examination, there is conjunctival hypereamia and a staining whitish area superiorly in the cornea. What is the most likely diagnosis?
