A 32-year-old female has presented to the acute medical unit with chest pain that radiates to her left arm. She appears diaphoretic and appears clammy. She notes that her father and uncle suffered from angina at 40 and 38, respectively.
Corneal arcus is evident on examination, and she has xanthoma along her elbows and knees. An ECG reveals ST elevation in leads II, III and aVF.
Her blood tests are as follows:
| Blood test | Value | Normal range |
|---|---|---|
| Troponin I | 4300 | <14 |
| D-dimer | 0.05 | <0.50 |
| Total cholesterol | 10.5 | 3.6-5.2mmol/L |
| LDL cholesterol | 9.2 | <3.4mmol/L |
| HDL cholesterol | 0.7 | 0.9-2.2mmol/L |
Given the diagnosis, what are the chances of her children inheriting this condition if her husband does not have the condition?
