A 33-year-old lady noticed her heart racing on her way into work and came to the hospital. On arrival, she appears anxious. Her ECG shows a regular, narrow, complex tachycardia with a rate of 180 bpm. You notice there are no p waves. You ask about her regular medications and she tells you that she takes a blue and purple inhaler as well as aminophylline for asthma. She recently finished a course of steroids, prescribed by her GP for an acute exacerbation. You try getting her to blow into a syringe but this does not negate the arrhythmia. What should you try next?
