A 34-year-old female presents to the respiratory clinic with shortness of breath
A 34-year-old female presents to the respiratory clinic with shortness of breath. This has been associated with an ongoing dry cough and episodic areas of painful raised lumps around her shins. This does not improve with antibiotics. She had been to the ophthalmologist recently due to a painful red eye. Her notes indicated the presence of keratitic precipitates and ciliary flush on examination.
Examination currently reveals purplish-red nodules along her nose and cheeks. CXR revealed bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy. Pulmonary function tests show a mild reduction in DLCO.
Which of the following pathological processes is the mechanism for the pathophysiology of the diagnosis?
