A 34-year-old woman presents with a 1-year history of intermenstrual bleeding and lower pelvic discomfort

A 34-year-old woman presents with a 1-year history of intermenstrual bleeding and lower pelvic discomfort. She reports occasional constipation but is otherwise well with no past medical history or regular medications. There is a significant family history of colorectal cancer on her father’s side, affecting her father, uncle and grandmother. A transvaginal ultrasound scan revealed a thickened endometrium. Subsequent hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsies confirms a diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Her gynaecologist is suspicious of a genetic syndrome and refers the woman to a geneticist.

Given the history above, what criteria can be used to aid the most likely diagnosis?
