A 43-year-old woman with known schizophrenia presents with a 6-week history of low mood
A 43-year-old woman with known schizophrenia presents with a 6-week history of low mood, anhedonia, sleep disturbance and feelings of worthlessness. She is stable and asymptomatic from schizophrenia, and her last relapse was 3 years ago. Her appetite is reduced, and she has been more idle and isolated at home. During the visit, it is clear to see evidence of self-neglect and poor hygiene. The GP also notices that her speech is slow in her answers, and she takes a long time to answer questions. Given the history, what is the most likely diagnosis?
