A 45-year-old male presented to the acute medical unit with flank pain and was diagnosed with pyelonephritis. His GP regularly sees him for hypertension, and he is currently on ramipril, indapamide and amlodipine. He is awaiting a renal USS. He recalls that his father required a renal transplant due to renal failure. An abdominal CT confirms the presence of 12 renal cysts bilaterally measuring approximately 6-8 mm with enlarged kidneys.
