A 54-year-old Caucasian man with long-standing ILD is being reviewed in respiratory clinic.

A 54-year-old Caucasian man with long-standing ILD is being reviewed in respiratory clinic. He has a history of frequent infective exacerbations and was shown to be colonised with Pseudomonas several months ago. His breathlessness level has been stable since the last review. He attends pulmonary rehabilitation, tries to stay active, and is happy with his dietitian, to whom he was referred by his GP earlier in the year. He is overall well with no new symptoms. However, he mentions two episodes of coughing up blood, which had not occurred before – both in the last week. What is the best next step in managing this patient?
