A 64-year-old woman presents having had a fall at home. She denies any loss of consciousness. She is able to recall the event fully. She denies vomiting or any seizure activity. Her examination is normal aside from a 3-inch laceration to her scalp over the right frontal region, which appears clean with well opposed edges. She is clinically well. Her past medical history includes hypertension and atrial fibrillation. She takes amlodipine, warfarin, and simvastatin.
