A new scoring system for pancreatitis is developed, with patients scoring more than 6 points being diagnosed with pancreatitis.

A new scoring system for pancreatitis is developed, with patients scoring more than 6 points being diagnosed with pancreatitis. Further assessment of the scoring system revealed a sensitivity of 0.833, specificity of 0.333, NPV of 0.667, and PPV of  0.556. The study included 300 control subjects and 300 patients with pancreatitis. 450 subjects had a score of >6, while 150 had a score of ≤6.
