Researchers are researching using cardio-selective beta-blockers as an alternative treatment for palpitations in patients with hyperthyroidism. A group of patients with hyperthyroidism who experience palpitations were equally divided into two groups, one prescribed propranolol and another prescribed bisoprolol. The patients were asked to record the number of palpitation episodes experienced for one week while on treatment. The data in both groups display a right skew.

Which statistical test is most appropriate to identify a significant difference between the two groups?
