Overview

Secondary headaches occur as a symptom of underlying disease. It is a common symptom therefore the list of causes is extensive. This section will focus on: medication overuse headache, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, subarachnoid haemorrhage, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, giant cell arteritis, intracranial neoplasia and head injury.
