A 25-year-old woman has had tender papules and pustules in the axillae and groins for the last two years.

A 25-year-old woman has had tender papules and pustules in the axillae and groins for the last two years. These occurred intermittently but over the last few weeks, she cannot remember any days when she has been completely clear. Recently, one area in the left axilla has recurrently swelled into a tender nodule. Her BMI is 34. She smokes about 10 cigarettes per day. Examination shows a few pustules and inflamed dermal nodules. There are occasional comedones and some scars from previous lesions.
