A 29-year-old female is brought to the Emergency Department having suffered a seizure at home. Her flatmate reports that she awoke in the night with a severe headache, and woke her to ask for help as she could not look at her phone screen to call for an ambulance due to its brightness. Shortly after this, she collapsed and had a 2 minute seizure that terminated by the time the ambulance had arrived.
The only medical history known to the flatmate is that she is under surveillance for a kidney condition that runs in her family.
On examination, she remains obtunded. She withdraws when her neck is flexed. Her blood pressure is 159/98 mmHg.
