A 30-year-old female presents with a 9 month history of severe unilateral throbbing headache

A 30-year-old female presents with a 9 month history of severe unilateral throbbing headache which occurs monthly and lasts for 24 hours. She is able to predict the onset of the headache as it coincides with the onset of her period and she notices strange shapes appearing in her vision just before the headache starts. She has a past medical history of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, a previous peptic ulcer, anxiety and hypothyroidism. She takes lansoprazole, levothyroxine and the combined oral contraceptive pill. She would like to know what medications she can take to treat her headaches?
