A 36-year-old patient is referred to your outpatient clinic by her GP with weakness in her hands and ankles

A 36-year-old patient is referred to your outpatient clinic by her GP with weakness in her hands and ankles. Her only past medical history of note is a Mobitz I AV (atrioventricular) block identified on a routine employment medical exam. She has been estranged from her family for many years but thinks that her father had similar issues with muscle weakness. On examination, when asked to grip your fingers, you notice she is abnormally slow to release and relax her hands.
