A 38-year-old female presents with feeling hot and sweaty in the last week.

A 38-year-old female presents with feeling hot and sweaty in the last week. She is more anxious and has some episodic palpitations. She noted some neck swelling. She reports having the flu a few weeks ago. On examination, she has palmar erythema, fine tremors, and regular pulse rate of 100 bpm. The thyroid gland is symmetrically enlarged and hot and  tender to palpate. TSH is 0.2 mU/L, free T4 30pmol/L, ESR 30,CRP 20mg/L, WBCs 6.5×109  . She is not currently pregnant and does not have children. Given the most likely diagnosis, what is the most appropriate management?
